The Edinburgh Tram Project has involved key partners from the initial planning stages of the project and, as a result, the construction of Edinburgh’s trams will employ innovative techniques and a world-class team.
This partnership includes City of Edinburgh Council, Transport Edinburgh Limited (TEL), Transport Scotland and Lothian Buses.
They have learned from the experiences of cities around the world that have recently introduced trams and a comprehensive procurement process has been undertaken to ensure that the best available partners are involved.
Members of the Edinburgh Tram Project team have extensive experience of constructing tram networks in other cities and are committed to delivering the highest quality trams for Edinburgh, in keeping with the city’s status as a World Heritage Site, prestigious capital city and economic leader.
